Five on Friday – Things I’m Excited About!

WARNING:  This Post contains excessive use of the exclamation point.  Read at your own risk of annoyance.

Hello all and Happy Friday!  Haven’t blogged much this week as I’ve been super busy with this and that.  Blah blah boring life stuff.

But I’ve had some exciting little tidbits over the past week too.

1.  I just have to start with my most exciting announcement…  my uber talented friend Leah F.  has recently become a Digital Designer for Funky Playground Designs, and she has blessed me with the opportunity to be on her Creative Team!  Whoo Hoo!  I’ve been playing with her first kit Green Peace all week and I absolutely LOVE it.  Here’s a layout I put together super quick:

Thanks ladies!  You are both so sweet to think of me and my little corner of the Blogosphere.  I just love these little awards that we can pass around the community and just acknowledge that we’re reading and enjoying.  It’s like a gold star for the day.  :)

3.  I’m only a few short weeks away from attending my first ever Blogher Conference here in Chicago… which is exciting yah… but I just found out that one of absolute favorite bloggers will be a speaker!  None other than Ree Drummond, who some of you may know as Pioneer Woman.  Hee hee!  I’m geeked. 

4.  It’s looking like Alan will finally get to race this weekend.  It’s poured rain all week but it looks like it will clear up, so please keep your fingers crossed for us that this is the day!  (Ya’ll know what I’m most excited about is taking pictures of this to share with you right?  Yep.)

5.  And finally hopefully a reason that you get to be excited about too… it’s Friday, which means no business or corporate ladder for two days and time to create.  I’m so looking forward to it.  My scraproom is cleaned out (ok almost) and I’m itching to get out some fun stuff (and promptly mess it up again).  I’ve got no commitments, no place to be, and honestly the laundry can wait.  Tomorrow is for me! 

Now see… it’s been such a long and busy week, and I haven’t necessarily been chipper about it.  But writing this post just made me realize it’s really not that bad or stressful and I have LOTS to be thankful for.  I could have just as easily written 5 things that annoyed the crap out of me this week,  but I didn’t, and now I feel so much better.
