Photos, randomness, and a darn good song.

Well friends, I have no excuse for where I’ve been the past week.  Just here there and the other place.  The end of the month always seems to be jam packed with project deadlines, work deadlines, bills to be paid, and new stuff to play with.  But I have to admit I love it.  I work so much better under pressure.

So tonight I sit here at my computer, listening to I-tunes, looking through the multitude of pictures I have yet to either scrap or file away.  And thought I’d share the ones that struck me tonight, for whatever reason (but mostly because they take me somewhere).

But, you do need to listen to this song while you see random shots of my life, cause I like it.  And it’s what I’m listening to right now. ;)

Ready?  Music started?  Ok here we go.

This is either the “Stop taking my picture” look… or the “Wait, let me look manly and cool” look.  Either way I love that guy.

I’d like to be doing this right now… and that was a hole in one by the way.  (Ha!)

Baby sister turns 18.  Aw…. (man do I feel old).

Yes.  Yes I do live with that much cuteness.  Every.  Single.  Day.  I know, it should be bottled and sold.

That’s my momma.  Isn’t she beautiful?

Wow I can’t believe I’m posting this one.  But that there is an expression of pure fun.  On a roller coaster.  When right after I say “Alan put the damn camera away!”.

What I learned from Uncle Alan.  How to properly handle a light saber.  I’m serious folks, if you know my husband you know that kid can now not only can handle a Jedi weapon, he’s doing it properly.

For Aunt Sandy.  ;)

For Gail, cause she gets such a kick out of these pictures of me.  (Seriously, tell me you would NOT get your face painted if you had the chance to add bling.  BLING!)

For memories of another life and time.

For seriously hilarious good times with old friends.

And times with new friends that you never even imagined you would meet.

And time with friends that you’ve known since you were the “real” you 15 years ago.

The time that you realized through the lens… that yep, it doesn’t get any better than right now.

But then it does.

And that seriously, cracks you up.

The world is goofy right now.  It’s all money this and money that.  Please remember that what’s important in your life really doesn’t have anything to do with all this hoopla.   As scrapbookers it’s the memories we keep in our hearts and express to our family that makes us the most special kind of artist there is.  The kind that makes something that isn’t interpreted into meaning to anyone, the kind that makes something that does have meaning.  To those that matter most to us.

This too shall pass.  (And yep, now would be good)

Have a great rest of the week my friends.  Go peruse through your photos just to look, not to find the perfect one for your next masterpiece.  Just play and laugh for a while, and thanks for stopping by. ;)
