A quick word / tip on “kits”…

I had a great scrappy night last night… mostly because I received my first ever kit.  I may be hooked.  Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love perusing the aisles of my scrap store and just picking and choosing what appeals to me, but something about receiving a coordinated kit got me going.  I had no worries about what matched or what didn’t, which of my embellishments to use, etc.  I just took what they gave me and ran with it.  Too much fun!  I purchased mine from  AC Bailey and I really do love it.  (Psst, yes in case you read right through that one… they are also having a design team call through Saturday which is how I found them – I’d only recommend it if I had already tried and loved it. ;) )

You could also make your own “kit” from the supplies you already have.  Imagine you’re putting together a few kits for friends that have no scrap supplies.  What would you throw in so they could complete 1-2 pages?  Cardstock, a few sheets of coordinating paper, a few pieces of chipboard, maybe some ribbon and buttons, etc.  Keep it simple, and then challenge yourself to create a layout using just those items.  If you take the time to make 4-5 of these mini-kits for yourself which are ready to go when you are, I bet you’ll get even more scrapping done!

Perhaps I shall now go follow my own advice.  Thanks for stopping by today!

(P.S. – See these?  They are never, EVER allowed in my house again…100 calories per pack means squat when I have an uncontrollable urge to eat the entire box)
