Well hello there friends. Been another bit of a hiatus hasn’t it?
I am here and storing up ideas.
My last post was from Blogher, and again I have to say what an amazing weekend it was. I’ll dedicate a post to it soon for those that are interested including a few links to the amazing women bloggers I was lucky enough to meet.
In the meantime let’s catch up.
I’ve been playing with Leah’s super cute summer kits which she’s created for Funky Playground Designs. I am so proud to be a part of her journey as a digi-designer! Here’s a couple layouts from the latest:

From the Sweet As Honey Kit.

From the Summer Fun colab kit. (Isn’t that little bird cute?!)
Let’s see what else…
I loved the Harry Potter movie. But insist if you haven’t you read the book to get the full story.
I’ve rejoined Weight Watchers meetings. Seriously it’s the only thing that works for me… so why deny it. And I love my leader, she sang “My Favorite Things” from Sound of Music last week with new words, such as chocoalte fudge, and cake. Cheesy? Hell yes. But oh so entertaining. (And I love Sound of Music thank you very much) Will try and get some good finds for WW recipes up.
I met Ree Drummond at Blogher and promptly proceeded to morph into giddy fan girl. More on this and my inability to remain mature around celebrities in a future post.
I had a wonderful family reunion weekend before last. Though it was a bit dampened by rain the sun did come out and allowed us to take a family photo full of people who I can’t remember when the last time were all together:

Yep. That’d be my husband in the Superman shirt not so stealthily hidden under a button down.
Speaking on geeky things… I am in love with this show:

It’s on CBS on Mondays at 9:30 (8:30 central) and has hilarious writing. I am so happy for Jim Parsons on his Emmy Nom and will be rooting loudly for him to win.
And… well, not too much else I suppose. Daily livin is sometimes just enough isn’t it ? ;)
Hope things are well with you, drop me a line any time. I promise a few crafty things to come very soon which are in progress.
Ooh and one more catch-up… Alan has not said one word about me accidentally painting a burgundy outline into the cement of our driveway while spray painting a canvas.
So what pray tell is he thinking we are now “even” for?
I’m living in fear.
See you soon, and thanks for stopping by.
Welcome and come on in! I'm Jess. I love all things crafty, and to share an artistic journey with friends like you. Relax, take a look around, and come back again soon. Thanks for stopping by!

I haven’t seen the Harry Potter Movie, I want to see it but can’t sit in a theater that long. I heard it wasn’t that good, probably because so much is missing from the book. Or so I’ve heard. I’m visiting from SITS. I can’t wait to read more of your craft ideas. I’m now following you.
your just too darn cute.. in so many ways. Love all the little random tidbits of life in this post! .. the paint on the driveway.. hee hee!! And so cool that you met Ree.. can’t wait to hear more about it!
Those kits are DARLING! Oh, and I <3 Big Bang Theory, too. Great minds must think alike.
