It is cooooold out today here!  I love it.  Nothing wakes me up like the crisp breezes of fall.  The sights of pumpkins and hay bales at the stores, the taste of a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks, and of course…

Good TV is back on!  Whoop whoop!

I admit it, I am a couch spud.  I am a multi-tasking one mind you, usually with my laptop going or a craft project at hand… so I really don’t feel too badly about it.  (My thighs did at first… but we’ve reached an understanding).  Alan and I have shows that we geek out on every season, and last week was spent in front of the tube catching up with our favorites.

If there’s nothing else on at the time you could lay money down that the Food Network is on somewhere in the background.  And we say good night each weekday after a dose of John Stewart and The Daily Show.  I live for Law & Order: SVU marathons on TNT, and we get so excited over the plot twists on Heroes it’s silly.

I’ve been trying to remember what shows I simply could not do without when I was younger.  The first one that springs to mind is Saturday morning cartoons.  Ugh I lived for them.   Good grief remember when Saturday morning cartoons were actually good!?   Let’s see Smurfs, Snorks, Mon Chi Chi’s, Rainbow Brite, He-Man (who was my boyfriend).

I know I’m dating myself but I’m proud to be of the generation from which sprang Smurfs.  Smurf yeah I am.

Then there was The Cosby Show.  I was allowed to stay up an extra half-hour on the night Cosby was on just to watch it.   This was my favorite episode.

And Oh how I loved soap operas… One Life to Live in particular.  Max Holden was my boyfriend.  I cut out his face from several magazines and plastered them all over my room.

He-Man, Max Holden…. obviously I had very high expectations of whom my man should be when I was 10.

Maybe it was the hair…

Hope you have had a wonderful start to your week.  It is indeed cold here but we are ready for the change.  Crockpot Roast cooking and good TV.  Our perfect Sunday night.   :)

Thanks for stopping by today, and see you soon.

You are too funny! Love your layout. That is an excellent idea for one too. I remember the smurfs, and had a quite a collection of the figurines. Aiden will watch it every now and then but it just doesn’t seem the same, but I think it is just because they are as old as me now, and that is old!
