We’re Home!

Good grief I’m so sorry I haven’t blogged in days… I have been so so busy.  Both with moving home, and the Scrap Scouts Challenge going on at AC Bailey.  We’re up and running now in both places, and I’m very excited! 

Dixie did immediately recognize home when we pulled into the drive.   Once out of the car she did 6 laps around the back yard at full speed.   For my couch potato dog that there means “I’m excited!”.   Our two cats however, were not happy.  Robin still growls at just about everything as it smells funny to him… the couch, the bed, the kitchen table… evil kitchen table…but he’s settling down.  

We still have some work ahead of us, un-packing everything else, cleaning the rental house, finalizing everything with the insurance… but at least we’re home now.  That makes so much of a difference I can’t even tell you!  I’ll post some “after” pics soon.

Oh – and I got that new washer and dryer… oh my… oh oh my are they lovely.  (Hello signs of changing priorities as you grow older)  

Hey here’s a crazy idea!! How about an actual layout today?!

This was part of my design team application at ACB.  The journaling reads:

At one time, I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to be. Was it a teacher? Actress? Corporate go-getter? Mother? But I’ve finally decided, that life does not have to be a straight line with a final destination. I choose instead to make my life a patchwork quilt, with many experiences collected and sewn together as I go. And as long as I stay true to myself and my beliefs, the final piece will be warm, beautiful, and genuinely me.
