Fab Online Holiday Shopping Sites

Did you brave those crowds on Friday morning?  Did you get up for the 4:00am store openings? (*gasp!*)  If you did, more power to you, and I hope you found many a bargain!  Me? I was warm in my bed, knowing full well I’d rather shop on-line later in my pj’s from the comfort of my own home. :)   Now don’t get me wrong – I love holiday shopping for family and friends, but honestly after one or two days of it the crowds start to turn me into a bah-humbug type.  So for my sanity’s sake… shopping online it is!

The only trick is to do my shopping on-line, I need to have it done in the next couple of weeks to be sure it arrives at my door in time to wrap and place under the tree before the big day.  But being done early is a plus in my book too so it’s a win-win!  (Of course, it is inevitable that I will get the urge to go shopping the week before Christmas, which usually results in my husband getting overly spoiled… but I don’t think he minds).

Until then, I’ll be surfing these (some of my favorite) sites for holiday must haves and gift ideas.

Spoon Sisters:  Prepare to spend at least an hour at this insanely fun shopping site.  It is the best for fun stocking stuffers, and I promise you will find something here for the person that has everything.  My favs so far:

The Baker’s Edge Brownie Pan – who doesn’t want the crispy edge? Now everyone gets it!

The Collision Kit – not that you ever, ever hope a loved one gets into an accident, but this kit seems like such a great idea just in case, especially for teens that might not think all the steps of a fender bender through - I’m thinking of getting one for my 18 yr old sister.

And, Washy Squashy Modeling Soap.   I’m thinking it’s a must for my 5 and 8 year old nephews… but I certainly know some adults who would find it pretty fun too!

Think Geek: My husband, well he’s a bit of a geek.  And that’s a huge reason of why I love him, for I am one too.  Most Friday nights we end up in a fierce battle of Mario Kart… what can I say?  We’re made for each other.  At this site you’ll find cool gadgets, games, stupid t-shirts… and you will find something for the geek in your life.

Overstock.com: Reason #1 I love this site?  Low shipping.  It’s usually $2.95 for your entire order, though today they advertise Free shipping for a limited time.  I’ve ordered from here several times and have never had an issue.  Lots of ideas and some really great deals.

Red Envelope:  A little on the pricey side for some items, but really beautiful things.

Amazon: Such a huge site and I bet you’ve shopped there before… I love em because they ship fast and my husband is always super pleased with music and movies.

Etsy: If you frequent Two Peas in a Bucket, chances are you know all about this wonderful site full of crafty goodness… it’s a mecca of possibilities for really truly unique items.

Coldwater Creek: I never fail to find something for the women in my life here… though they are also on the pricey side they almost always have a good coupon in their catalog if you request one, especially around this time of year.  Moms, boss, sisters-in-law = done.

Terry’s Village:  Great site for smaller items, mostly decorative.  Really cute holiday decorations and fast shipping too.  I’ve ordered from here several times and will again.

And finally, for the most stress-free holiday ever check out Wine Country Gift Baskets. I know sometimes gift baskets feel like a cop-out… but when you receive one aren’t you actually thrilled?  Who doesn’t love a basket of goodies around this time of year?  I’m recommending this site because of the quality – they are sending out great stuff that you can be sure isn’t the cheapy versions, and they have really cute theme baskets such as breakfast in bed.    I’ve used them several times, and always gotten huge thank yous and nothing but rave reviews.

Good luck with your holiday shopping – and I hope whether you do it mostly online or in the crowds – it is stress free! :)
