Now THIS is the way to sing it…

Rudolph – a la Bing and Ella:

Seriously – have you ever heard a better version?  I need Alan to learn this so we can make people laugh at red lights… and excruciatingly embarrass our future offspring.

I think it’s the image of Rudolph in a green fedora smoking a cigar that makes this version just that much more special.

How’s your week going?  Do you realize it’s mid-December?!  It’s OK… breathe with me.  How about this, pick one thing that’s stressing you out a bit and let it go, pass on it, or make it super easy.  Just one, so it’s ok!  Me?  I’m passing on the homemade Christmas cards this year.  I just have too many other things I’d like to accomplish.  Throwing a party?  Order at least some of the food – seriously – no one will care.  Eight million people to buy for yet?   Do charitable donations in their name… everyone has enough “stuff”, it’s an environmentally and globally friendly gift, and you’ll feel just as good (if not better).

I know, it’s all easier said than done.  Just trying to help. (Yeah – I wouldn’t order in if my in-laws were coming to dinner either ;)

However hectic your days are this week I hope you get a little time for you – and are so happy you spent some of that precious time stopping by.  :)   Have a great day!

  • I’ve never heard this version but I LOVE it! It almost sounds like it’s Dean Martin singing.

  • Thanks so much for sharing this version…I just adore the classics singing carols and Bing is one of my favs!

I did the donation thing for my Dad’s side of the family this year (who still give gifts to EVERYONE). I bought a sheep for a third-world country family through the Heifer Project. Of course, I had to make them all sheep scherenschnitte (papercutting) ornaments in honor of it too…so I’m not all that sane I guess.
